This class is the ideal way to begin your journey toward becoming a pilot. It provides a solid foundation of knowledge essential for earning your private pilot certificate. Whether you're just starting or preparing for your written, oral, and practical exams, this course will set you up for success. Our curriculum covers everything from basic aerodynamics to navigation and cross-country flight planning. Plus, you'll receive a free discovery flight and a T-shirt as part of the course!
Classes are held every two and a half months, meeting Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 pm to 9 pm for six weeks. Spots fill up quickly, so call us today to reserve yours.

Course Materials
To get the most out of your ground school experience, you’ll need the Pilot’s Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge at a minimum. However, we recommend the full Private Pilot Kit, which includes everything listed below. You can purchase these items at our pilot supply shop, Quest Pilot Supplies, either online or in person on the first night of class.
Private Pilot Kit Contents:
The kit is $229 and comes in a bag embroidered with the Springs Aviation logo. Order online or pick it up at the FBO during your next visit.
Class starts at 6:00 PM and typically ends around 9:00 PM. The schedule may be subject to change.
