Preparing for Your FAA Test

Get ready with our essential checklist and testing guidelines.

Testing checklist:

  • Knowledge Test Endorsement

  • Valid Photo ID

  • No Personal Items

We will provide:

  • Pencils

  • Scratch Paper

  • Calculator

  • Plotter

  • E6B Flight Computer

  • Noise Protection

  • Testing Supplement

On Test Day:

  • Bring all necessary knowledge test endorsements or certificates with you.
  • You’ll need a valid photo ID, such as a driver’s license, military ID, passport, or alien residency card, which shows your date of birth, signature, and current address. If your ID doesn’t have your current address, you’ll need additional proof of residence. Contact us for details on acceptable address documentation.
  • You can bring a calculator, plotter, and electronic E6B. We’ll provide pencils, scratch paper, and the test supplement.
  • Personal items like cell phones, smart watches, electronics, outerwear (hats, hoodies, jackets), wallets, and car keys are not allowed in the testing room. Personal items should be left in your car or securely stored behind the desk with us.

After scheduling, you’ll get an email with a list of items not allowed in the testing room. Review this information before your exam.
